2023 Elections Result: VIP wins 6 seats but VI will have a coalition Gov't -Full results include NDP-3 seats, PVIM-3 seats & PU-1 seat
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands is looking at a possible coalition government, after the results of the general elections on Monday, April 24, 2023, saw no clear winner.

Polls were opened at 6:00 AM and closed at 6:00 PM, with over 16,000 people eligible to vote.
After the tabulating of ballots at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex; however, the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) had 6 seats. The National Democratic Party (NDP) and Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM) took 3 seats each and Progressives United (PU) had one seat.
With at least 7 seats needed to have the majority in the House of Assembly, the tie-breaker may lie with Progressives United, which has its lone seat won by its Chairman Julian Fraser RA in the Third District.

VIP - Dr Karl Dawson – 452 (winner)
In District 1, Dr Karl Dawson emerged as the winner over Chad C. George and Sylvia C. Moses-Romney in the district traditionally won by VIP.
