Since taking over the Oval Office, Trump has imposed – then sometimes delayed – tariffs on key U.S. trading partners Canada, Mexico and China. He has threatened, then quickly retracted, tariffs on Colombia. Each in turn threatened or readied tariffs of their own, on U.S. goods.

And now, Trump has promised “reciprocal” tariffs on all trade partners that apply tariffs to U.S. exports – including the European Union – which he’s expected to announce Thursday.

“TODAY IS THE BIG ONE: RECIPROCAL TARIFFS!!!” Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social, on Thursday. “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
