Reggae band UB40 to perform on STT
The University of the Virgin Islands’ Reichhold Center for the Arts presents the 2nd Annual Blue Horizon Concert on Sunday, featuring four-time Grammy-nominated reggae band UB40.

The concert will take place at the Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center on the St. Thomas campus. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. The concert is the final show on UB40’s official U.S. “Red Red Wine Tour.”
“We’ve had a great time, so hoping that will continue right up until the end,” Jimmy Brown, drummer and founding member of UB40, told The Daily News. “We are expecting people to be singing and dancing.”
UB40 is the world’s biggest-selling reggae group, with more than 100 million albums sold worldwide. Brown is joined by Robin Campbell on guitar and vocals; Earl Falconer on bass and vocals; Norman Hassan on percussion and vocals; Martin Meredith on keyboards and saxophone; Jahred Gordon on keyboards; Laurence Parry on trumpet, flugel, and trombone; Ian Thompson on saxophone; Gilly G. on vocals; Matt Campbell on backing vocals; and lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Doyle.
