BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI– Former political candidate and talk show host Mr Claude O. Skelton-Cline has called on Virgin Islanders to resist the urge of becoming political enemies of each other, while at the same time apologising for any role he may have played in the matter.
Skelton-Cline made the comments during the September 6, 2022, edition of his ‘Honestly Speaking’ talk show on ZBVI 780 AM radio where he also called on the leaders of the VI to make a commitment to not become political enemies and reject division.
VI cannot afford divisions - Skelton-Cline
“We as a people in this small community cannot afford, we can no longer afford divisiveness, enemy behavior towards each other, we are too small a community,” he added.
Skelton-Cline added, “Resist the behaviour of becoming political enemies of each other, we cannot afford that anymore.”
He also apologised for any role he may have played in the past in causing divisions in the VI.
“And I offer repentance for whatever contribution or role in the past, I may have contributed to that because I am now also talking to myself."
