The history of Carnival in St. Thomas dates back over a century ago. The first carnival on this beautiful island took place in 1912 and was organized to showcase the unique local culture. However, it was not until 38 years later that the carnival became an official annual event. Since then, it has evolved into a grand celebration, embracing traditions old and new, and embodying the spirit of resilience and unity that defines the island.
