McCoy, along with a small delegation of local officials, is currently in the Cayman Islands for the State of The Industry Conference (SOTIC), which is being held from September 2 to September 6 by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO). The first two days of the conference were dedicated to business sessions for the CTO Executive Committee, board of directors, and ministerial council. However, the official SOTIC sessions began on Wednesday, featuring a diverse lineup of speakers, panelists, and experts who shared insights on topics such as sustainability, technology and innovation, aviation and connectivity, cruise tourism, leadership and legacy, and business continuity planning.

McCoy presented on the topic of Business Continuity Planning on the opening day of the conference, after attending the CTO business meetings. He commented on the week’s events, reflecting on his current experiences and anticipating future developments. “The business meetings were very productive and informative. I was pleased to serve as a resource person, sharing my knowledge on the experiences we have had in the territory that have shaped our business continuity planning. I am also looking forward to seeing our Junior Ambassador of Tourism, Ms. Adrianne Thomas, represent us at the highly anticipated CTO Tourism Youth Congress,” said Mr. McCoy.
