The CCCAN Championships began Monday and will run through Sunday, June 22, at the Centro Acuatico Olimpica Unversitario in Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico. However, the meet may be extended after heavy rainfall and flooding in the Monterrey area forced officials to call off Thursday’s events.
St. Thomas’ Max Wilson earned two of the gold medals, setting USVI records in winning the men’s 18-over 50-meter backstroke and 100-meter backstroke titles. The USVI’s third gold came from St. Thomas’ Reagan Uszenski in winning the girls 11-12 200-meter freestyle.
