USVI’s Garcia has short day in marathon

The 31-year-old Garcia — whose father, Francisco Garcia Sr., is from St. Croix — developed problems with his left leg during his workouts last week. According to Garcia, an MRI showed a partial tear in the conjoin tendon of his left hamstring — an injury he first developed in 2016 while on the University of Florida’s track team.
