Accused serial burglar nabbed
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has announced the capture of Vincentian national Paul Jack, who is accused of committing a series of crimes ranging from immigration offences to larceny-related activities.

According to the RVIPF, Jack, who had previously been deported from the territory following a 2021 conviction for Proceeds of Criminal Conduct, illegally re-entered the British Virgin Islands and had been hiding in Virgin Gorda. Jack has been linked to numerous burglaries, robberies, and other criminal activities on Virgin Gorda over the past year, causing significant disruption and fear in the community. He now faces charges for Illegal Entry, Criminal Trespass, Armed with an Offensive Weapon, Assault on Police, Resisting Arrest, and Aggravated Burglary. Investigations into his involvement in additional burglaries and robberies are ongoing.
The RVIPF also announced the arrest of an accomplice, Devonte Joseph, who has been charged with Robbery, two counts of Burglary, and Aggravated Burglary. Both men were apprehended during a joint operation led by Virgin Gorda detectives on Saturday, January 4. Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool expressed relief at Jack’s capture, emphasizing the significance of the arrests for the safety of Virgin Gorda residents.
