Police Constable Earlando Baynes was charged following an investigation into the incident. His offense, according to a BVI police statement, involved the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information that “compromised the success of the operation and raised serious concerns about the integrity of law enforcement protocols.”

The release noted that upon learning of the incident, BVI police launched a comprehensive investigation led by a specialized team within the force. “The investigation underscored the gravity of the breach and the necessity for stringent accountability measures within the organization. As a result of the investigation, Police Constable Earlando Baynes, a St. Vincent and the Grenadines native, was arrested and charged with breach of trust by a public officer,” the release stated.
