Henneman tapped to help boost St. Croix as cultural destination

The Tourism Department announced it is embarking on a promotion campaign that takes into consideration St. Croix’s unapologetic culture and traditions that make it a “vibe like no other.”

Assistant Tourism Commissioner Alani Henneman is charged with spearheading the effort that will include partnering with local businesses and hotels on two initiatives aimed at highlighting the island’s offerings and increasing visitor engagement in order to boost its economy. “Experience St. Croix: A Vibe Like no Other” will encourage air travel and longer stays while “St. Croix Vibe Sail” will target cruise passengers, short on time, to come ashore to eat, shop and play via activities surrounding island tradition and culture.

“St. Croix is a destination where culture comes alive — visitors can discover the warmth of our people, the stories behind our traditions, and the flavors that define our cuisine. These promotions not only highlight the island’s unique character but also invite travelers to engage meaningfully with our Crucian heritage,” Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte said in the prepared statement.
