The lawsuit, filed in June 2024, alleged that Dr Jarecki had sexually abused her after she was referred to him by the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

In a recent statement, the woman, identified in court documents as ‘Jane Doe 11’, expressed that upon reviewing the history and evidence of her relationship with Dr Jarecki, she concluded that he did not intend her any harm. She clarified, “I was never a patient of his, and I travelled with him voluntarily.” Additionally, she acknowledged that Jeffrey Epstein had not referred her to Dr Jarecki. Consequently, she withdrew her complaint and stated she would have no further comment.

The lawsuit had alleged that Dr Jarecki was “close friends” with Epstein and that he had sexually abused the plaintiff after Epstein sent her to him for psychiatric treatment. Dr Jarecki consistently denied these allegations, asserting that the relationship was consensual. In a statement following the lawsuit’s filing, he remarked, “False accusations have been made against me by lawyers seeking money on behalf of a woman with whom I had a consensual, non-secretive, and mutually respectful relationship over a decade ago.” He further emphasised, “I have never engaged in any abusive conduct with her or anyone else.”

Dr Jarecki is known in the BVI for owning Norman Island and Guana Island. He has actively participated in the community, serving on the board of governors of the H Lavity Stoutt Community College and founding the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) in Fat Hogs Bay in 2004. YEP has positively impacted the lives of many children in the community.
