Beenie Man’s US visa reinstated after decade-long ban

Dancehall icon Beenie Man is officially back in the U.S. entertainment circuit after his visa was reinstated, marking the end of a decade-long ban.

The Grammy-winning artist, known for hits like Who Am I (Sim Simma) and King of the Dancehall, shared the good news with fans in an Instagram freestyle, declaring, “Everything sweet again one more time, American visa come again, one more time.”  In the caption, Beenie Man expressed his gratitude: “Thank you AMERICA & JAMAICA for this great travel opportunity once again! 🙏🏾” He also promised fans, “America, me soon faawud.”

The reinstatement of his visa is a pivotal moment for the entertainer, whose career had been significantly hindered by the ban. The inability to perform in the lucrative U.S. market for over ten years not only limited his earnings but also curtailed his reach as an international artist.
