Bryan Nominates Magistrate Ernest E. Morris Jr. as Superior Court Judge of the Virgin Islands

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. nominated the Honorable Ernest E. Morris Jr. for the position of Superior Court Judge of the Virgin Islands, Government House announced.

Magistrate Morris is a native of St. Croix and is known as a respected figure in the

legal community and is celebrated for his deep commitment to justice and extensive legal expertise, according to the press release.

Educated at Yale University and Howard University School of Law, Morris has demonstrated academic excellence and professional distinction throughout his career. He has served in various capacities within the legal system, including as a judicial law clerk, president of the Virgin Islands Bar Association, and, most recently, as a magistrate judge. His participation in the Master of Judicial Studies Program at the University of Nevada further exemplifies his dedication to continuous learning and judicial excellence, the press release stated.
