CRRA partnering with Tourism for annual Jump Up in Christiansted

The Christiansted Restaurant and Retail Association and Tourism Department are gearing up to host the annual post-Thanksgiving Jump Up later this month.

According to a CRRA statement, vendors are being sought for what will be the last of its four annual shopping and dining events in downtown Christiansted. CRRA President Matthew Ridgway said each Jump Up boasts a unique theme, “guaranteeing a fresh and exhilarating experience every single time” and that the day after Thanksgiving, the organization will hosts its Black Friday Jump Up. He described it as a “vibrant fusion of culture and excitement, igniting the holiday season in a blaze of spectacle and joy.”

The event kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, with area stores staying open late, giving dinner patrons a chance to shop for holiday gifts either before or after dining. “As twilight descends, Christiansted transforms into a pulsating hub of energy. The streets, boardwalk, and restaurants burst to life with an electric atmosphere that captivates both visitors and locals alike,” Ridgway said in describing the event, which typically draws legions of locals and visitors alike to downtown Christiansted four times a year.
