Education Ministry wants conversations on re-imagining sector in VI– Hon deCastro -Looking to have talks with voluntary organisations, private sector & public

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With the aim of re-imagining the local education system, subject Minister Hon Sharie B. de Castro (AL) says the Education Ministry is looking to devise a plan on how to integrate new learning strategies in the local system.

Speaking during a September 27, 2022, edition of Public Eye produced by the Government Information Service, the Minister said the plan will start with conversations with various sectors in the VI.

“I think the Ministry is currently devising a strategy to see how we could truly go out and have strategic conversations with the private sector and even the voluntary organizations who have a keen interest in education and understanding how they too can play an integral role in the development of education in a territory and so.”

Hon de Castro continued, “We believe ultimately that we have to have a serious conversation and truly reimagine education, so we have to have these types of conversations with the public to help them to understand where we are, where we want to go and what we believe it takes for us to get there.”
