Joe Biden arrives on St. Croix for his last vacation as president

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden landed on St. Croix at 1:45 p.m. Thursday for what will be his final trip to the island while still in office.

The president and his wife left the nation’s capital, where temperatures were hovering at 36 degrees Thursday morning, for his customary pre-New Year’s vacation on St. Croix. The weather on the island was 82 degrees around the time Air Force One landed at Rohlsen Airport.  Biden, who has been making history throughout his presidency, may well add another to his list as a trifecta — visiting the island as president, vice president and a regular Joe, no pun intended.
