St. Croix Alumni Association Announces Scholarship for Class of 2024 Seniors

The St. Croix Educational Complex (SCEC) Class of 1998 Alumni Association has officially opened applications for its scholarship fund aimed at supporting high-achieving seniors from low-income households.

The "Complex Class of 2024 Scholarship" is designed to be a selective need and merit-based financial boost, with awards starting at $500.

The scholarship program is specifically targeted at outstanding minority SCEC high school seniors who are poised to graduate in 2024. Eligible students who demonstrate financial need and academic potential are encouraged to apply before the deadline on March 31, 2024.

To qualify, applicants are required to meet several criteria. A written essay of a minimum of 500 words must be submitted, detailing how the scholarship will assist the applicant in achieving their goals. Academic achievement is also a factor, with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale required. Additionally, applicants must provide one reference letter from a school faculty member, administrator, or community leader.
