St. Croix Native and 39-Year Postal Veteran David Stevens to Be Sworn in as St. Thomas Postmaster

According to a release issued by USPS on Monday, the private ceremony will be led by Carlos E. Del Toro, USPS Puerto Rico/USVI District Manager, who will administer the Oath of Office.

Stevens, a native of St. Croix, now holds the highest-ranking postmastership in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With nearly four decades of service under his belt, he brings to the role a career defined by upward mobility, dedication, and deep community ties, according to the release.

His career with the United States Postal Service began in 1987 as a Window/Distribution Clerk. Over the years, Stevens has held a range of leadership positions, including Supervisor Customer Service, Manager Customer Service, and Officer in Charge. In these roles, he has overseen postal operations in both Fajardo, Puerto Rico and Kingshill, St. Croix, and managed daily delivery and retail functions at the Main Post Office and four satellite stations in St. Thomas.
