UPDATE: Talbott 11th in Time Trial @ Caribbean Cycling C/Ships in Guadeloupe

among 31 cyclists to drop out of ‘tough’ Elite Men's Road Race

PETIT CANAL, Guadeloupe- Samuel C. Talbot had a strong performance in the Individual Time Trial at the Caribbean Cycling Championships in Guadeloupe on October 14, 2023, placing 11th out of 21 competitors on the Petit Canal route.

Talbot; however, found the going tough in the Road Race in Abymes and did not finish.

In the time trial, Talbot covered 44.88 kilometres in a time of 31 minutes, 57.88 seconds.

Talbot’s results were commended by the President of the BVI Cycling Federation, Mr Darel Christopher.

“Sam performed very well in the time trial. I think that type of course suits his level of fitness, that course was rolling terrain no big hills,” Mr Christopher stated.

Road race sees 31 cyclists drop out

In the Elite Male Road Championship, Talbot completed 3 laps of the 6-lap course before calling it a day.

Only 19 cyclists completed the race while 31 did not finish.
