Katie Tannenbaum has already experienced competing in the Olympic Games.
Now, the St. Thomas resident is getting a closer look from behind the scenes at the upcoming Paris Olympics, which begins Wednesday, July 24, and holds its opening ceremonies Friday, July 26.
Tannenbaum — who raced in the women’s skeleton at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics for the U.S. Virgin Islands — has been working with Olympic Broadcasting Services, the branch of the International Olympic Committee that provides all of the coverage to television, radio and digital broadcast rights holders for the Olympics.
“The Olympic Broadcast Services, they’ve for a long time had a broadcast training program,” the 39-year-old Tannenbaum said in an exclusive interview with The Daily News. “But they’ve just recently teamed up with ‘Athlete365,’ which is an organization of Olympic athletes.
