V.I. SCHOOL SPORTS ROUNDUP: Devil Rays now 2-0 after 2nd straight shutout win

SATURDAY’S RESULTS High School Tackle Football. Ivanna Eudora Kean High School 24, Educational Complex High School 0: The Devil Rays recorded their second straight shutout victory to open the V.I. Education Department’s league season in beating the Barracudas at the Educational Complex High field on St. Croix.

Ivanna Eudora Kean High, the defending league champions, are now 2-0 on the season. The Devil Rays have outscored their opponents 46-0 over their first two games. No information was available on the scorers for Ivanna Eudora Kean High. Educational Complex High is now 0-2. Charlotte Amalie High School 8, Central High School 0: The Hawks won their first game of the season with a close victory over the Caribs at Lionel Roberts Stadium on St. Thomas.

The lone touchdown for Charlotte Amalie High (1-1) came off a 10-yard touchdown pass from James Boschulte III to Jeffery Boschulte with less than 30 seconds remaining. James Boschulte III then ran in the two-point conversion. Boschulte also forced and recovered a fumble, as well as had an interception return for a touchdown called back on a penalty on defense, and Shavor Hunt also recovered a fumble for Charlotte Amalie High.
