Bryan issues statement on the death of former President Jimmy Carter

CHRISTIANSTED — Governor Albert Bryan Issued the following statement Monday mourning the passing of the 39th President of the United States of America, President Jimmy Carter:

“With profound sadness, I join the nation and the world in mourning the passing of former President Jimmy Carter, a leader whose extraordinary legacy extended far beyond his presidency. President Carter was a man of unparalleled compassion, integrity, and service whose life was a shining example of humanity at its best.

Yet, his post-presidency work solidified his place as one of the greatest humanitarians of our time. Through his leadership at the Carter Center, he championed human rights, eradicated diseases, and brought hope to countless communities worldwide. His unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others is a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
