Gerard S. Farara KC appointed Chairman of BVIFSC Board

- Patlian Johnson appointed Commissioner

PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- The governing Board of the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission has a new Chairman and Commissioner. The Ministry of Financial Services, Labour, and Trade has officially appointed Mr Gerard St Clair Farara KC and Ms Patlian Johnson to serve as Chairman and Commissioner respectively.

Mr Farara has been appointed as the Chairman for a three-year term commencing August 1, 2024. According to the Government Information Service (GIS), Farara is a highly experienced financial services professional with a distinguished career in the law. He currently serves as a Commercial Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and is the Senior Partner and Head of Litigation at the BVI office of COLLAS CRILL (previously known as Farara Kerins).
