I will learn to brag more — Premier

Premier Dr Natalio Wheatley has vowed to highlight his government’s accomplishments after facing criticism from the parlimentary Opposition regarding perceived failures.

During a recent sitting in the House of Assembly, he expressed the need for a more balanced narrative about the territory’s achievements, particularly in the tourism sector. “Instead of just talking about the bathroom in Long Bay, we went and built a bathroom in Long Bay,” Dr Wheatley said while pointing to specific projects that have been completed. He accused critics of conveniently ignoring and overlooking things done by the government as they moved to focus on other problems without acknowledging that other issues had been solved.

“It’s a political tactic,” the Premier said. “I’m going to learn to brag more. That’s what I need to learn to do and take more pictures. It’s not naturally a part of my character. I just do what needs to be done.”
