Liberty VI Resumes Fiber to the Home Expansion in Nazareth and Barren Spot

Liberty VI has announced the continuation of its Fiber to the Home (FTTH) construction projects in Nazareth, St. Thomas, and Barren Spot, St. Croix. The projects, scheduled to begin on February 10 in Nazareth and February 12 in Barren Spot, aim to bring high-speed internet connectivity to residents and businesses in both areas.

The construction is part of Liberty VI’s broader effort to expand fiber optic access across the U.S. Virgin Islands. Ravindra Maywahlall, general manager of Liberty VI, emphasized the importance of securing necessary permits to advance the initiative.

“As we acquire the necessary permits, we are moving forward once again with our Fiber to the Home construction projects so more locations in the territory can have access to our fiber-fast internet,”Maywahlall stated. He also reassured the public that Liberty VI will continue updating consumers about the next areas slated for fiber expansion as additional permits are approved.

The Nazareth project will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, while work in Barren Spot will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Both projects are expected to be completed in approximately three to four weeks.
