Jamaica’s Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, has urged incoming passengers, especially Jamaicans, to complete the newly introduced C5 Immigration Form online before arriving on the island. This step is being recommended to help ensure smoother airport processing and minimize delays.
Bartlett’s appeal for travelers to complete the new C5 Immigration Form online comes after significant delays at Sangster International Airport (SIA) on Saturday, just before the start of the 2024-2025 Winter Tourist Season. These delays were attributed to many homecoming Jamaicans failing to complete the C5 Immigration Form ahead of their arrival. Bartlett acknowledged the issue, stating, “Yesterday (Saturday) was a little rocky.
I heard we had too many planes on the ground and too many people around, so we need to address the issue with the C5 form.” He made this statement during a visit to the airport on Sunday, highlighting the importance of pre-completing the form to avoid delays and improve the flow of passengers. “I’m making the appeal that all our visitors, especially Jamaicans coming home, should fill out the C5 form electronically before their arrival,” the minister urged.
