ST. CROIX — A routine traffic stop led to a significant arrest on the night of May 4 as local law enforcement detained 34-year-old William Libert for multiple offenses, including carrying and possession of unauthorized firearms and drugs. The incident took place around 10:40 p.m. near Sam's Gas Station in Glynn, St. Croix.

Officers from the V.I. Police Department were conducting Operation Vigilance when they noticed a white Toyota Echo traveling without a rear license plate. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the driver, identified as Libert, pulled into the service station.
