Saharan dust plume will prevent significant showers for 48 hours

SAN JUAN — A thick plume of Saharan dust is moving across the region, lasting through Sunday morning. During this time hot and hazy conditions will prevail and rainfall will be limited. There is a moderate risk of rip currents for some beaches in the southern and northern sections of Puerto Rico and also across some of the beaches in St. Croix. No tropical cyclone activity is expected to develop over the next seven days.
