Serenity Wellness and Counseling offers mental health support on St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS — Serenity Wellness and Counseling opened earlier this year on St. Thomas, with the aim to offer mental health support to anyone who may be struggling.

Nour Suid, licensed professional counselor and owner of Serenity Wellness, told The Daily News it “is a safe and supportive space where you can work toward your mental health goals with compassion and professional guidance.”Suid, born and raised on St. Thomas, said that her interest in psychology started in high school, as she took career assessments that recommended she enter the field.

“In high school I used to always give advice to my friends and they used to say, ‘Oh you’d be a great therapist’, or ‘You are a great listener’,” she recalled. Since then, Suid has earned a master’s in counseling and special education from the University of the Virgin Islands, and she earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from California Southern University in 2018.
