Urgent Search Underway for Missing St. Croix Man Known as "Smiley"

ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department's Forensic/Identification Section of the Criminal Investigation Bureau has issued a critical missing person alert for 62-year-old Raymond Ward, also affectionately known as “Smiley.” Mr. Ward, a native of St. Kitts, was last seen by a family member on April 29, 2024, and has not been spotted since. Described as a Black male with a slim build, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 147 pounds, Ward is easily recognizable by his brown and gray dreadlocks and light complexion. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, with the color and type of his shoes unknown.
