USVI Winds Up Presence at Wasabi Fenway Bowl in Boston, Receives Top Billing

Joining a number of other top U.S. companies, the USVI Department of Tourism is taking a strong promotion position as a founding partner of the Wasabi Fenway Bowl this year. On Dec. 17, the Wasabi Fenway Bowl will mark the return of college football to America’s “most beloved ballpark.” The game between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Louisville Cardinals will air nationally at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN. The stadium is expecting almost 20,000 guests and millions of TV viewers.

In addition, the USVI Department of Tourism will be donating tickets to the game to the Authentic Caribbean Foundation, a Boston-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education and training, health, community tourism and support services to children and adults with disability and aids within the Diaspora and the Caribbean.

The sponsorship helps the USVI reinforce its dedication to sports tourism, which is part of the DNA of the islands. From hosting the annual Paradise Jam Basketball Tournament this November to the upcoming YES Tournament, the islands are actively promoting sporting events and inviting guests to explore the many opportunities to play and watch events in the USVI all year around.
