V.I. regattas to host VX One Caribbean Cup races

One of the hottest one-design sport boat classes returns to the Caribbean next spring for the peak of the region’s race season.

Organizers of two of the territory’s major regattas — the St. Thomas International Regatta and the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival — will partner with one-design sport boat class VX One to host the second VX One Caribbean Cup series in the spring of 2025.

The VX One Caribbean Cup — which was last held in the territory in 2016 during the St. Thomas International Regatta — will allow skippers to compete in the class in two of the Caribbean’s top regattas, held on back-to-back weeks next spring.

According to event organizers, the 2025 regattas that make up the VX One Caribbean Cup will be held March 28-30 (the St. Thomas International Regatta) and April 4-6 (the BVI Spring Regatta).
