VIHA Launches Right To Return Initiative For Donoe And Tutu Hi-Rise Families

The Virgin Islands Housing Authority announced Wednesday in a press release the launch of a Right to Return initiative for families who previously lived in the Donoe and Tutu Hi-Rise communities.

The initiative is intended to give displaced residents an opportunity to return to safe, affordable housing in their original communities, according to the press release.

As part of the effort, VIHA has set up a dedicated phone line and email address so former residents can contact the authority directly to confirm eligibility, update personal information and receive guidance on the rehousing process, the press release stated.

Families are encouraged to provide their full name, a reliable contact telephone number and their current mailing address when reaching out. The information will be used to verify identity, update records and communicate next steps, the release stated.
