Virgin Islands Anti-Crime Summit 2025 Troupe to participate in August Monday Parade

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Young people ages 8 to 17 are being invited to take a stand against crime by joining the Virgin Islands Anti-Crime Summit 2025 Emancipation Festival Troupe for the upcoming August Monday Parade in Road Town.

This initiative comes as the Government of the Virgin Islands will be hosting an Anti-Crime Summit in September under the theme "Our Virgin Islands: Safe Communities, Prosperous Territory".

The theme for this year’s Emancipation Festival is “Embrace the Past, Let Unity Thrive, As We Celebrate Emancipation Festival 2025”.

Deadline for registration is Friday

According to a bulletin from Government Information Service (GIS) on July 16, 2025, interested parents and guardians can collect registration forms for their children to participate at the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports on Tortola, District Offices on Virgin Gorda, Jost van Dyke, and Anegada or via email dyas@gov.vgby contacting the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports at 468-4949.

Spaces are limited, and all completed forms must be submitted by Friday, July 18, 2025.

Participation is free, and participants will receive a free branded T-shirt.
