Woman Detained Following Alleged Theft at Local Entertainment Venue

In a recent incident at Tootsy’s Gentlemen’s Club in St. Thomas, a misunderstanding led to the arrest of a woman on charges of felony larceny. The situation unfolded when a performer at the club reported her bag missing to the police on Monday. She recounted placing her bag near her while attending to a patron, only to find it gone later.

The club’s management, after being notified, checked the surveillance footage. The video appeared to show a woman, later identified as Andrea Milfort, taking the bag, which contained the dancer’s phone, cash, and personal belongings, about 30 minutes after it was left unattended.

Subsequent efforts by the dancer to track her phone led her to the vicinity of Cyril E. King Airport. A taxi driver, recognized by the club’s security, reportedly transported Milfort and her friends from the club to Lindberg Bay Hotel.

The police, informed of Milfort’s planned departure from the island on January 23, apprehended her at the hotel that morning. During questioning at the VIPD’s Criminal Investigation Bureau, Milfort stated that she had mistakenly taken the bag while under the influence of alcohol.
