Woman Says She Was Pressured by Threats to Facilitate Theft at Home Depot

Sherwayne Felix allegedly intimidated employee Makea Grant, leading to a series of unauthorized merchandise removals at Home Depot

ST. THOMAS - The man who allegedly threatened former Home Depot employee Makea Grant into letting him walk out of the store with free merchandise is now before the courts. Another man who reportedly participated in the scam was also arrested this week.

Following Grant’s arrest earlier this year, she told police that Sherwayne Felix had approached her at a bar some time in 2023, and according to documents submitted to the court, “propositioned her about needing merchandise from the Home Depot,” where Grant worked part-time. She reportedly declined, but weeks later he reportedly approached her again.
