YAG Foundation resumes cancer support meetings on Saturday

Cancer survivors, caregivers, and healthcare providers are invited

Cancer survivors, caregivers, and healthcare providers are invited to attend a cancer support group for those looking for hope and connection following a cancer diagnosis or treatment. Beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, the YAG foundation, in partnership with Dr. Gemaine Owen, will host the gathering at the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy at the Sunny Isle Shopping Center.

Owen, a medical doctor and cancer survivor, is the author of the empowering book “Doc What Would You Do In My Shoes: How to Circumnavigate a Cancer Diagnosis.” According to Yvonne Ashley Galiber, founder of the YAG Breast Cancer Foundation, its support group gatherings are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for cancer survivors and caregivers.
