Youth Financial Literacy Symposium Nears Capacity as Registration Gains Momentum

Momentum is building for the upcoming Value Your Future! Youth Financial Literacy Symposium, with nearly half of the available student spots already filled ahead of the March event, organizers announced this week.

The free, full-day symposium is scheduled for March 14 at RTPark on St. Croix, and is open to students ages 13 to 17. Organizers say the strong early registration signals growing interest among Virgin Islands youth in learning practical financial skills that can shape long-term decision-making.

Valure, the organization hosting the event, said the response from students and families has been both encouraging and inspiring as planning enters its final stages.

“We’re thrilled by the early turnout,” said Leon Perkins, founder of Valure and author of Value Your Future! A Young Investor’s Story. “It shows there’s a real hunger among our youth to understand money, opportunity, and how to build a stronger future for themselves.”
