A man was arrested in Cane Garden Bay following an altercation outside a local business on the evening of September 28.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said the incident began as a verbal confrontation before escalating into a physical altercation, leaving one man with minor injuries. According to the RVIPF, officers responded to a call at around 7:21 pm on the day in question after receiving reports of the altercation. The victim sustained an injury during the incident, though it was clarified that initial reports of a stabbing were inaccurate.
The individual reportedly left the scene to prevent further escalation of the conflict. The police later arrested Quadeem Callwood, a resident of Cane Garden Bay, on suspicion of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm (ABH). Callwood was later charged with both ABH and being armed with an offensive weapon.
