St. John Taxi Fee Postponed Until 2026 After Advocacy Efforts by Sen. Bolques

The upcoming implementation of a fee for St. John taxi drivers is now postponed until at least next January.

The National Park Service had planned to impose a 3% transaction fee, starting January 1, 2025. The start date was reportedly pushed back to February, after discussions facilitated by Senator Angel Bolques Jr.

A press statement from the lawmaker indicated that further discussions and advocacy have resulted in the fee implementation being delayed again, this time until January 1, 2026.
