Bryan Aligns with Trump on Immigration, Deregulation, Education, and Transgender Sports Policies

Governor Bryan supports Trump's policies on immigration enforcement, deregulation, education reform, and banning transgender athletes in women’s sports, citing benefits for the U.S. Virgin Islands while acknowledging disagreements on foreign policy.

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has expressed support for several key policies championed by President Donald Trump, emphasizing areas where their views align on education reform, immigration enforcement, and transgender participation in women’s sports.

During an interview with the V.I. Consortium last week, Governor Bryan stated that while he does not agree with Trump on every issue, there are multiple areas where their perspectives converge in ways that benefit the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The governor endorsed Trump’s stance on education reform, particularly efforts to reduce bureaucratic hurdles that delay the allocation of federal education funding to states and territories. According to Bryan, funding restrictions often prevent local education departments from effectively addressing critical staffing shortages, among other challenges. He highlighted how deregulation could enable the territory to spend funds more efficiently and meet pressing educational needs.
