Grenadians urged to avoid COVID for Christmas

The Christmas season is fast approaching and Grenadians are being told not to drop their guard even as COVID-19 infections decline.

Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Shawn Charles says for the past few weeks, officials continue to observe a progressive decline in cases, hospitalisations, deaths and test positivity.

Tuesday’s positivity was zero as Grenada recorded no new cases.

However, Dr Charles warns Grenda will continue to have a low-level spread of infection for some time to come as the disease has not left.

It is for this reason he is urging Grenadians to exercise caution with the approaching Christmas Season.

The Acting CMO says: “We want everyone after such a trying year to have an enjoyable Christmas season but at the same time it is important to remember where we came from.”
