Holiday Inn St. Vincent set for November opening

Travelers to St Vincent and the Grenadines will soon have another option to stay when visiting as the Holiday Inn Express is scheduled to open sometime in November 2024.

According to the Agency for Public Information (API) the 93-room Holiday Inn Express in Diamond, is being constructed by Trinidadian company NH International. Along with Cobblestone Inn, it will be the Government’s second state-owned hotel. The project is being funded through a grant from the CARICOM Development Fund along with an investment by the Government of St Vincent and Grenadines of approximately $52 million.

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves conducted a tour of the hotel on Thursday where he said with the opening of the hotel there will be more employment opportunities for those people trained in the hospitality sector as well as the spill-off effects in other sectors. Location-wise, the Holiday Inn Express will be close to the Argyle International Airport and near to other facilities.
