National League: Sugar Boys thrash Old Madrid 11-0; Wolues maul Rebels 4-1

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- The Wolues FC are leading the chasing pack after they beat Rebels FC 4-1, but the Panthers FC are starting to gain momentum with a 2-0 win against Islanders FC, to wrap up the weekend's National Football League action organised by the BVI Football Association (BVIFA).

The Sugar Boys FC remain the top team after an 11-0 romp against Old Madrid FC at Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

The home side extended their win streak to five games, as Derol Redhead fired home a hat trick. Andres Bailey notched a brace as did Roland Roberts, whilst Akeem Hendrikson, Alejandro Sanchez and Marknique Williams also were on the scoresheet.

“It wasn’t the most competitive games, but they were shorthanded, and we were able to use the wide areas to fully exploit them,” commented Redhead. He added: “the most important thing was getting the three points and we did what we had to do, stay focused and happy to remain 100 percent.”
