ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI—Customers of the Water and Sewerage Department (W&SD) in the Virgin Islands will soon enjoy the convenience of paying their bills online, with the Ministry of Communications and Works launching its online payment portal on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer (R5), in a Government Information Service (GIS) press release on January 27, 2025, described the initiative as significant in modernising water and sewerage services, affirming that the portal would provide a secure, user-friendly, and efficient way for residents and businesses to manage utility payments.
No more long lines!
According to Hon Rymer, the new system eliminates the need for customers to stand in long queues or deal with complicated processes.
“With just a few clicks, customers will be able to access their accounts, view billing information, and make payments from the comfort of their homes or any location with internet access.”
The portal will be accessible to customers starting February 1, 2025, offering features, including round-the-clock access, payment options via email or the portal, account management tools, and advanced security measures to protect user information.
