House of Assembly (HOA) Speaker Corine George-Massicote will deliver the keynote address at the Caribbean Women’s Transformational Leadership Conference today in Barbados, marking a major regional engagement for the Virgin Islands.
The event is hosted by Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) in collaboration with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), the Commonwealth Secretariat, ParlAmericas, and other development partners. The conference aims to enhance the leadership capabilities of women in politics, business, and community work throughout the Caribbean.
According to the official invitation, Jennifer Namgyal, Head of the Gender Section in the Commonwealth’s Social Development, Youth, and Gender Directorate, praised George-Massicote’s “demonstrated leadership and the value of her contribution to regional advancement”.
“It is a profound honour to represent the Virgin Islands and the CPA, particularly the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians, on this regional platform dedicated to empowering women leaders,” George-Massicote stated.
The HOA Speaker said she looked forward to engaging with other leaders from across the region and contributing to important discussions on political and transformational leadership.
