UVI Marks 62nd Charter Day with Steve Turre, Dion Parson and Series of Cultural and Academic Events

The University of the Virgin Islands is set to celebrate its 62nd Charter Day anniversary with a month-long series of events. This annual celebration marks the establishment of the University and showcases its significant contributions and achievements over the years.

The festivities this year will encompass a wide range of activities, including the traditional Afternoon on the Green, the 13D Innovation Center’s Business Leadership Lecture, alumni gatherings, musical events, sports competitions, and engaging activities for students.

UVI President Dr. David Hall extended an open invitation to the public to participate in commemorating UVI's 62nd anniversary, highlighting the university's journey from its inception to its current status. "This year, I will celebrate 15 years of service to this venerable institution. I feel blessed to be a part of UVI’s transformative story and to have played a part, along with many others, in its contributions to the Virgin Islands and to the region," Hall expressed. He also commended the UVI students and alumni for their role in driving positive change both locally and globally.
